Dr Kevin MacNeil is an award-winning novelist, poet, essayist and screenwriter from the Isle of Lewis. He is the author of six books and has written for television, film and radio. He has taught creative writing at several universities and performed internationally. In October 2026 he becomes Writer in Residence with Fèis Rois.

John Murdo MacAulay (he/him)
JM is an award-winning Scottish director and producer from the Outer Hebrides. A fluent Gaelic speaker, he works across drama and factual television. His films have earned multiple RTS and international awards, with his short film “Seaforth” winning First Prize at the Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying Rhode Island Film Festival.

A Screen International Rising Star Scotland 2026, her credits include James McAvoy’s California Schemin’, Harvest and Dept. Q. Based in Glasgow, she is developing distinctive, people-led scripted projects, including Ben Sharrock’s next feature, Alone Together.
