Riad Arfin (he/him)
Riad Arfin is a Bangladeshi filmmaker based in the UK. His film ‘A Border Between Us’ screened at Edinburgh International Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival, DOC NYC and many others, winning Best Short Film at the UK Asian Film Festival 2024. Through poetic storytelling and sharp social insight, his work explores displacement, identity, and belonging.

Charlotte Hailstone (she/her)
Charlotte Hailstone is a producer working primarily in creative documentary cinema. She produced Riad Arfin’s short documentary, A Border Between Us, Laura Wadha’s Born in Damascus, which won the Crystal Bear at Berlinale 2022, and is a long-time collaborator of Victor Kossakovsky’s, working on the Oscar shortlisted films Aquarela, Gunda and most recently Architecton as co-producer, which premiered in competition at Berlinale 2024. She met Olivia whilst working on Outlander, and is very excited to be working with her to produce Riad’s film.
