TAKE THREE is delivered by Producer Carolynne Sinclair Kidd and Industry Consultant Holly Daniel, via their new company Screen Projects.
With expertise in all aspects of filmmaking, from development through to exhibition, the Take Three team are perfectly placed to support new, emerging and more established short filmmakers as they develop their craft and reach international audiences. We’re based in Filmhouse, Edinburgh – a great place to see films, meet other filmmakers, and be inspired.
Carolynne Sinclair Kidd
Programme Director
Carolynne is a film and television producer who has been working in the industry for more than thirty years, focussing almost exclusively on working in scripted content with new and emerging talent.
Her producer credits include: RTS Scotland award winning digital first drama series DOG DAYS; BAFTA Scotland Best Scripted winner ADAM: UNFAIR, a comedy BLAP! for Channel 4; lockdown monologues SKINT on the theme of poverty for BBC4; three series of comedy for TV including multi award winning cult classic HIGH TIMES; and the darkly comedic Irvine Welsh penned feature for Film4 THE ACID HOUSE.
Having produced many short films of her own, winning awards at prestigious festivals like Cannes and Palm Springs, she worked for 6 years as Executive Producer at the BFI/Creative Scotland funded Scottish Film Talent Network. Here she worked on more than 60 short films with new and emerging talent, taking great joy in seeing the films achieve slots at A list festivals such as Venice, Berlin, Sundance and SXSW. Several of the SFTN supported short filmmakers went on to make their first funded features, kick-started with script development money from the SFTN pot.
Carolynne has concurrently worked in education, as visiting tutor on the MA Film and MA Screenwriting course at Napier University, as well as the Kino Eyes European Movie Masters course. She taught a Film Production summer school in Tallinn, and in addition she ran the NFTS Scotland Producing your First Feature course for two years.
Before becoming a producer, Carolynne worked extensively as a production manager and line producer, across documentaries, high end leisure series, drama and low budget feature films.
